Alan Grattan Judgemental Lyrics
Judgemental by Alan Grattan
Hey you, Judge, Judgemental
What gives you the right to criticize the religion I choose to follow
The God in which I believe and the book I choose to read
A place to worship and the time to attend is all I really need
I respect your right to have your beliefs, your opinions and your views
Mutual respect, it seems to me, is something so fundamental
We can't all agree but we can all get along if we take time to under/stand
Stop looking down our noses at others and being so judge/mental
Hey you, Judge, Judgemental
What makes you think that you're better than them is it the colour of your skin
Are they too tall too short too fat or just a little too thin
Maybe it's the fact that they get along with all that are a/round them
I respect your right to have your beliefs, your opinions and your views
Mutual respect, it seems to me, is something so fundamental
We can't all agree but we can all get along if we take time to under/stand
Stop looking down our noses at others and being so judge/mental
Hey you, Judge, Judgemental
Some days it seems there's nothing I can do that's right in your eyes
From the cut of my hair to the clothes on my back to the hours that I work
You're always changing the rules of the game and I can't keep track
I respect your right to have your beliefs, your opinions and your views
Mutual respect, it seems to me, is something so fundamental
We can't all agree but we can all get along if we take time to under/stand
Stop looking down our noses at others and being so judge/mental
Hey you, Judge, Judgemental
You judge my family and you judge my friends people you've never met
You couldn't pick any of them out if it was only from a crowd of one
If only you knew what you don't know imagine who you'd become
I respect your right to have your beliefs, your opinions and your views
Mutual respect, it seems to me, is something so fundamental
We can't all agree but we can all get along if we take time to understand
Stop looking down our noses at others and being so judge/mental
